About Valley Boy Lights
Valley Boy Lights is a local Christmas light company right here in the Flathead Valley.
For as long as I can remember, the best part of winter was the night the lights went up. The days got short, the snow came in, and then one evening the whole street would start to glow. We’d pile into the car with hot chocolate and drive the long way home just to see every house lit up. Some were simple, some were over the top, and every one of them made the dark feel a little warmer.
That feeling never left me. Christmas lights are how a neighborhood says welcome home, and they’re something to look forward to every single year.
That’s why we started Valley Boy Lights: so families and businesses across the valley can have that glow without the ladder, the tangled strands, or the cold fingers. We hang them, keep them shining all season, and take them down when the holidays are over.

We measure the property in person, not from a satellite photo. You get a fixed price before we order anything.

Professional install on rooflines, gables, trees, columns and walkways. You do not have to get on a ladder.
In-season service
If a bulb fails, a line moves, or a timer drifts, you text us and we fix it. No charge, no limit, all season.
Removal
We pull everything down after the holidays. No January ladder work waiting for you.
Storage
Your set is labeled by elevation and stored with us until it is time to go back up next year.

We come to the property, measure every run, and show you exactly which lines we would light and which we would leave dark. You get a fixed price from that visit.

Commercial-grade C9 bulbs, clips and timers, cut to your rooflines. Nothing for you to buy, store, or untangle.

Installed before Thanksgiving
Booked by the cutoff and your home is lit before the holiday. We work the valley by route, so your neighbors go up the same week.

Most companies sell you an installation. What decides whether you are happy in January is what happens when a run goes dark on the coldest night of the year.
That is the part we do not charge for, and it is the reason our customers book us again.

Answers to what people ask before they call.
- Everything for one season: the on-site measure and design, all lights and clips, professional installation, every service call during the season, takedown after the holidays, and storage of your set until next year. There is no separate line item for any of it. One price, one season, done.
- No. We supply commercial-grade C9 bulbs and the clips, cut to your rooflines. Homeowner-bought retail sets are the single most common reason a display fails in January, so we do not install them.
- You text us and we come fix it, at no charge, as many times as it takes, all season. This is the part of the job most companies charge for or quietly ignore. It is the main reason our customers rebook, so we protect it.
- Book before October 10 for a 20% discount. Install dates run out in that order and we cap how many homes we take, because the free in-season maintenance promise only works if the route stays tight. Late bookings go on a waitlist for cancellations.
- We do not quote a number over the phone. Cost depends on roofline length, how many stories we are working at height on, and whether you want trees, columns or walkways included. A free on-site measure gets you one fixed number before anything is ordered. We do not bill hourly, and we do not add surprise charges.
- We take everything down after the holidays and store your set labeled by elevation with us, with your design and measurements kept on file. Next season it comes back to the same house and goes up the same way. Rebooking is one text, not a new estimate.
- Yes. Timers are part of what we supply and install, set during your install so the display comes on and shuts off on its own all season. Nothing for you to remember, no separate switch to flip.
- Yes. We carry liability insurance and we are happy to send the certificate before we start. Roofline work in a Montana winter is genuinely hazardous, and this is not the corner to cut on an unfamiliar crew.
- Yes. Storefronts, restaurants, lodges and commercial buildings across the valley. Commercial jobs are scheduled earlier in the season, so reach out sooner if you need to be lit for a specific opening date or event.
- We do. Send someone our way, and once their job is quoted and paid, we send you a referral bonus. There is no limit on how many friends you send. Ask us for the current bonus amount when you call.
